Privacy Policy
Ripplecat builds custom websites for businesses. To do that, we need a little information from you. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and in plain English.
The short version
- We only collect what you give us to book a call and build your site.
- We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
- We don't use advertising cookies or trackers on this site.
- You can ask us to see, fix or delete your information at any time.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Booking form: your name, email address, business name, your current website if you have one, and any details or links you share about your business.
- Scheduling: the time you pick and any details you add when booking your consultation.
- Your project: things you share so we can build your site, such as text, photos, logos, business hours, and, when needed, access to your domain or hosting account.
- Messages: anything you send us by email, phone or text.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, the company that hosts this site automatically records basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. This is used for security and to keep the site running. We don't use this to identify you or to show you ads.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to you and schedule your free consultation.
- To build your free demo site and, if you go ahead, your finished website.
- To provide the optional Website Care Plan, if you sign up.
- To send invoices and project updates.
- To keep our website secure and working properly.
We won't add you to a marketing list without asking first.
3. Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your information. We only share it with services that help us run the business, and only what they need to do their job:
- Website hosting (for this site and for the sites we build).
- Scheduling (the calendar tool you use to pick a call time).
- Email and payments (to talk with you and to process invoices).
These companies handle your information under their own privacy policies. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
4. Logins and access you give us
If you give us access to your domain, hosting or other accounts so we can launch your site, we use it only for your project, keep it private, and stop using it when the work is done. We recommend changing any shared passwords once your site is live.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your information while we're talking with you or working together, and afterward only as long as needed for records, taxes or support. If you don't move forward after your consultation, you can ask us to delete your details at any time.
6. Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we have about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your information.
- Stop contacting you.
Depending on where you live, such as California or the European Union, you may have additional rights under local law. Just email us and we'll help, usually within a few days.
7. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website or online service is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but we never ask for more than we need.
8. Children
Our services are for businesses. This site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
9. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top of this page. For any big changes, we'll make it clear on the site.
10. Contact us
